The Rise of Skywalker manages to still make Star Wars feel new and nostalgic at the same time. I liked it the first time, but loved it even more with subsequent viewings. And, then I saw the movie again twice when The Rise of Skywalker DVD and Blu-ray got delivered to my house. I actually saw it in theaters twice – once for the media preview and then again with the family. The Rise of Skywalker did both of those and more. ![]() What I was expecting was to be transported to a galaxy far, far away for a few hours, and secondly it would hopefully answer a few questions I’ve had with me for years. Honestly, The Rise of Skywalker was more than I was expecting. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s talk about why you should own The Rise of Skywalker on DVD and Blu-ray. It’s an interesting dynamic to see how they are linked together and yet at odds with one another at the same time, all while each continues on their journey. ![]() The film continues their push-and-pull relationship from previous films. The movie begins with Rey continuing to train on her journey to become a Jedi, while Kylo Ren is out trying to find out who has been pulling the strings behind the scenes. You can cry, you can moan, but the fact is that the trilogy of trilogies is now complete. Well, now you can go back whenever you feel like it, right back to the Skywalker story and conclusion of the legacy.įirst things first, it’s okay to be sad that the legacy is really over. You may have even seen the film in the theaters over the holidays and enjoyed visiting the Star Wars universe for a bit.
